PGCIL to invest 23.8 billion yuan in FY 2018-19 for constructing power grid
Recently, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) declares that the company will invest 250 billion rupees (about 23.8 billion yuan) in this fiscal year (by the end of March 2019) for the construction of power transmission system and other power projects.
PGCIL has already signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ministry of Power of India, and its development goals also include human resources, project management, R&D innovation, etc.
At present, PGCIL owns and operates 148,800 km of transmission lines, a total transformation capacity of more than 322,000 MVA, and 236 superhigh voltage secondary substations.
